Chit Ngiat Pan

Tjhit Ngiat Pan always held at day 15th of month 7th according to Chinesse date or august 14th in general date(at night).The main agenda of this celebration is struggle the foods which prepared by committee.Some of temple also celebrated with burning the devil’s statue known as Thai Se Ja.This event as symbol to chase away devil.



Chinesse people believe that day 15th of month 7th ,the door of hereafter was open.The spirit in hereafter was out and come to earth(human world).In the earth the spirit was displaced and untreated.So people in earth held this ceremony for them that is give them food,drink and more so that the spirit wasn’t disturb human in earth.

This ceremony can held in home or temple.If we have one of our family died we can held in house to give honour to the spirit.The ceremony in temple held for unknown spirit.They don’t have house or place to come home.

Many people come to this ceremony at night to give honour to spirit.Many food available for the spirit.At midnight food that was available reputed enough enjoy by the spirit.And then ceremony continued by struggle the food.People can take the food for him/her.People belief that if can’t take the food will get bad luck.So must get that.

The top of the ceremony is burning the statue of devil known as Thai Se Ja.Thai Se Ja is god of hereafter who will bring the spirit back to hereafter.Together withstatue of Thai Se Ja also burned money,clothes and house made from paper.This event for the spirit as “cost” back to hereafter.

Kwan Tie Miaw

Kwan tie Bio is one of oldest temple in Bangka Island.Now knowns as Kwan Ti Miaw.This temple located in Mayor Syafrie Rahman Street.I the top of this temple there is gourd decoration and Pat Kwa in front of temple.

Pat Kwa is a symbol with eight side with circle in middle and in the circle there is black and white colour known as yin yang.Patkwa symbolize lucky,livelihood,happiness.This temple was build at 1841 C and was legitimated at 1846.
Area of kwan ti miaw now is located as one of tourism object in Bangka island.Kwan ti miaw often use as a center of imlek(Chinesse new year) celebration and many more.

Pha Kak Liang-China in Bangka

One of famous place in Bangka is a place named PHA KAK LIANG.That is a area with chinesse’s style.

That was build above an ex tin’s mining area.The width about 2 hectare.This place in Kuto Panji Village,Belinyu subdistrict,Bangka regency,about 2 km from Belinyu city and 53 km from Sungiliat city.Many tourist come in this place.The interesting about thios place is.This place like little chinesse.In this place the tourists can see many big freshwater fish in pool.But you can’t fishing here.That is be forbidden to fishing in that place.But don’t worry you can feed the fish.Why be forbidden?You know…Indonesian people still keep his culture long time ago.So there is a myth that we can’t take the fish in that pool.Besides that if that is no forbidden…PHA KAK LIANG will be a a fishing place not regional tourism…huahuahua…

Bangka Belitung Islands

Bangka-Belitung Islands is a province of Indonesia, which includes two main islands, Bangka and Belitung, and several smaller ones that lie from the east of Sumatra to the northeast of South Sumatra province. The Bangka Strait separates Sumatra and Bangka, and the Gaspar Strait separates Bangka and Belitung. The South China Sea is to the north, the Java Sea is to the south, and Borneo to the east is separated from Belitung by the Karimata Strait.

The province was formerly part of South Sumatra, but became a separate province along with Banten and Gorontalo in 2000. In 2004 its population was 1,012,655. The capital is Pangkal Pinang.

These islands have significant mining (the largest producers of tin in Indonesia). They also produce white pepper CPO etc.

Bangka Belitung also has many beaches and smaller islands which have attracted tourists from around the world. The famous beaches are Matras beach, Parai beach, Tanjung Pesona beach, Batu Bedaun beach, Remodong beach, Pasir Padi Beach, Tanjung Kelian Beach, Rebo beach, Telok Uber Beach and many others.
